Wayne Breitbarth will be covering the Top 10 reasons why you should be on the world's largest business social media site and just how that site can help you accomplish your branding and marketing goals.  He will explain the value of a connection, the importance of a "beefy profile," and how to find people to help you achieve your goals.  The class is designed for non-users or beginners on LinkedIn, but will also cover areas critical for the more experienced user.

Speaker Bio

Wayne Breitbarth is the Co-President and Co-Owner of M&M Office Interiors located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.  M&M has served the southeastern Wisconsin interiors and furniture market for almost 50 years as a full service office furniture dealer and the exclusive distributor of Haworth office furniture and products in southeastern Wisconsin.  Wayne is also a CPA and went to UW Whitewater for his accounting degree and has a MBA from Marquette.  He serves on the Board of Make A Difference Wisconsin and The Community Warehouse, is a member of the MATC Accounting Careers Advisory Board and he is also very involved in Eastbrook Church in Milwaukee as a youth leader and teacher. He recently received the WICPA's Public Service Award for his extensive volunteer activity in his career in the Milwaukee area. He lives in Mequon with his wife of 29 years and has three daughters two in college and one attending Homestead High School. 

Wayne began "moonlighting as an unofficial Linkedin Trainer " early in 2009 and has now led seminars for thousands of southeastern Wisconsin business professionals including most area chambers of commerce and many individual business development departments of some of Milwaukee's most prominent companies and organizations.  He was a featured speaker at the BizTimes Expo this past spring, a panelist for the Milwaukee Press Club's presentations on Social Networking and is the most quoted expert on Linkedin in the area in publications including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, BizTimes Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Builder magazine. He has fondly been given the title "Linkedin guru" in Southeastern Wisconsin.

SMPS is a Registered Provider of AIA Continuing Education Credits. This program is 1 CEU.

Registration and fees

$35 for SMPS members
$60 for non-members

  • You may register online with a credit card or by mailing in a check.
  • You may pay onsite with no additional fee if you email an RSVP 24 hours in advance.
  • For an additional $10 walk-in fee you may register on the same day (onsite) with a check.
  • There is no charge for cancellations as long as SMPS Wisconsin is notified by email at least 24 hours prior to the event
  • Invoicing is not an option.
