Membership Committee

Committee activities

Membership in SMPS is managed by SMPS National. Members of this committee augment the recruitment and retention efforts of National.

Lists of members, potential members, and members-at-risk are maintained. The lists are used for e-newsletter announcements of chapter activities and news, e-blasts of events and programs, and to keep members involved and informed. The lists are also shared with National who have a strong membership program.

Membership Committee members also have one-on-one duties with new members by inviting to meet them at events, calling to encourage involvement, or just saying hi and providing a contact within the organization.

The Membership Committee is organizing a membership retention event on June 11, 2010 where members will be invited to a sunny Friday afternoon of golf at rock-bottom prices. This will be a wonderful opportunity for members and potential members to network before the "SMPS season" ends. If you are interested in more information contact Kary Beck.
